suzuki swift sport Turbo Charged

ok la... yah yah yah... another one... yes.

This one is different! hahaha... We used a more expensive turbo. What turbo? cannot say la... higher efficiency type, more expensive of course and running on external wastegate.

Owner dragged with a stock WRX. Swift sport won. Given the weight of this car plus the skill of the driver... oh... why not. he driver is the owner's friend who drives a wrx. quite skillful driver also. in drags, driver's skill plays an important part in determining the outcome of the race. For those who frequently drag with your clubs and stuff, you'll know what i mean.

This ride is roughly in the 180~190 bhp region and on a 1.1 ton car, the low end 0~100 on close ratio gearing will be something very eye opening. Power to weight will be perfect.

Verdict:
Driver won a wrx. Period. If you doubt it? Ok, it natural and normal. Here's my take: I am comparing this ride to a wrx. lol... nice.

Very Rare Honda Prelude H22

Yes! Damn farking rare honda prelude with H22 engine. In fact, only 2 found in silly pore. Well, its my honour to have the oppotunity to tune one of them. Yes! Damn shiok!!

Owner is using Emanage Ultimate in his car but wasnt satisfied with the performance. In fact, he dragged with a stock Prelude and lost. Given his setup, he was puzzled and decided to probe further.

Owner knows his stuff and I believe he has more than the usual connections to get his stuff and questions answered. First off, he is using Jun Cams. I have tuned many honda till date but to tune a rare honda prelude is one thing, and to tune one running on a well tuned high lift cams with timing specially tuned by Jun. hmm... no an everyday task.

I received my assignment at 12pm today, and was told to tune a honda. My initial impression was a Honda jazz, fit or EG or EK and stuff... to my surprise, its a prelude! Running on Jun cams... hahaha.. shiok!

The car was previously tuned by some other workshop and I found the throttle response and idiling was not smooth. Yah yah... right, its high lift cams...you' so? So, I made the car idle smooth like fark lor. next, is to solve the owner's complain of lack of luster. Its a honda!! It has to have at least some character like response and pick up! so, tune for response lor...

ok... thats done. Next, Jun extractors is also in the car. hahaha... I have seen many vtecs already. Jun cams are seriously 2 worlds apart from the usual cams. What I did was to clear off the previous maps and retuned the entire map for what it should be, on a honda.

When the tuning was completed, revving to 8500 rpm on such a setup requires some balls to start with. seriously, the feeling is totally different. jun cams as compared to the normal cams produces a tight punchy feeling when the vtec kicks in. The h22 engine produces some of the nicest vtec opening sound plus the tall ratio gearing, you'll find the car will be needing a much longer drag strip than normal to pull that 3rd gear to 8500 rpm.

When we completed tuning, and hand over the car to the owner, we asked him to go test drive the car. He is one of those owner who knows us through recommendation and insisted that he doesnt need to test drive and trusts our tuning. Since the day the cams are in, owner has never enjoyed the wonders of this hardware. He even contacted Jun who also advised him to look for a better tuner to fully release the full potential of this cams. I received an sms later thanking me for the job well done. I guess he finally pull that redline on a jun cam with what Jun intended it to be... Shiok. The pants he hung at the door flew to the back of the car... it was still hanging there when he looked for us this morning.

Finally, a much more lively Honda Prelude with vtec on Jun cams.

verdict:
Needless to say. If you have the chance to own such a car, and then find a Cam from Jun. Enjoy.
