Mitsubishi Colt Plus Turbo Stage 1
Stage 1 only la... this one is simple mod only... Owner wanted to have a nice looking front mount intercooler as the stock intercooler is small and hidden away. He wanted something more presentable since upgrading the intercooler is still within the legal limits of sillypore. We installed a front mount intercooler which is a highly recommended upgrade given the potential this ride has when it is freshly baked from the showroom. We added a few other mods which allows you to run a huge front mount at a very good price.
No cel Light! Yes. No check your engine light.
The results is satisfying, though satisfying is an understatement, I'll still use it anyway for the sake of other people. First off, the black rubbery hoses are upgraded to high grade stainless steel pipes. There is no need to remove the foggies and performance wise. At the same low boost setting we used to set, the car now feels like its running on high boost. At high boost settings, on a steep slope, your front wheel can start to spin from torque steer when the turbo spools. Which was something the stock car can never achieve. A careful mix and match on the pipes and intercooler paid off as the turbo lag was as good as stock. Almost negligible difference.
We said alot about the results even before the fmic was installed. And nothing can be more reassuring than seeing the actual thing itself. Its still a stage 1 car... so, yes, its lta compliant. BHP wise.... that one have to wait for the dyno...
my prediction is mostly pass the 200bhp mark.
It can't be too far off la, since the former highboost settings without the FMIC installed already gave us a very safe 8.5s timing, 0~100. Just in case you are wondering if the FMIC is ever that effective and yet looks that fabulous on a turbo charged car, we decided to film the whole event down. So that you would miss a thing.
