Subaru TS 1.6 Turbo Charged



Subaru designed the subaru TS very much like the WRX. TS comes with a smaller capacity and high compression ratio of 10:1. Engine is a flat-4 horizontally opposed design.

This Ts belong's to the newer breed of TS which has the pig-nose design and is manufactured in Year 2007. The biggest difference between the older TS and newer ones in terms of performance is that the newer models runs a different set of ECU map. meaning, the tuning for the later models is different from the older ones...

Ok, we placed a wrx turbo into this ride and a couple of other things like boost controller, HKS BOV, very big sub injector, we managed to tune the car to a very satisfying result. The CEL light remains off which means that from the outside, you really cannot tell this apart from the stock TS. All controlled using Emanage Blue :)

you don't even need to change your bonnet to the wrx bonnet for this setup to work. Its a simple and straight forward job. I must admit, tuning this car is not easy. The subaru's ECU is very advanced. For this kit to work properly, everything must come together nicely to work. Subaru cars are extremely sensitive to modification, even simple things like cold air intake and decatted exhaust can yeild good results. Not to mention putting a wrx turbo into this car. hahaha....

Sam too agrees that the feeling of this ride is closely matched to the wrx feeling. Of course, the wrx is faster la... 2.0L engine mah... For a 1.6L and lower road tax with this kind of performance, I cannot ask for more. This particular setup puts the car into the 200 bhp range. If we used a boost controller, you can rest assure the boost is higher than 0.4 bars, of course... :)

massive amount of torque from a boxer design engine gives the driver a nice 'g' force and the seat of the pants feeling when the turbo kicks in. smooth delivery of power all the way to redline. No jerks, no stalling, just smooth all round power!

Overall, this kit converts the underpowered stock TS into a highly responsive, fun car to drive. This setup is built for track use, which means you will get a very consistent and predictable response from the car. On the track, this is most important. To out last and to out run.

puts a smile on everyone's face. I really like the HKS BOV sound !! hahahaha...

Fine tuning of Honda Stream RSZ Turbo

Time flies... Honda Stream returns for servicing. I dunno about you but, servicing a car that used to be serviced by G@r@g3 R feels farking good.

I was instructed to do some fine tuning on the 1000 rpm crusing part for this car while sam does the servicing. For the first time, I get to drive this ride. Normal cruising at 1000 rpm is normal for this car and with the very smooth cruising and good stock sound insulation, plus MD quart component sound system. knn, damn shiok la...

This car is so comfortable that you really wanna get one of this and do the same setup as the owner. I am new to ICE so, all I know is the sound is damn nice... hahaha...

With this setup, the turbo spools strongly at 3000 rpm and pulls all the way to 6500 rpm and very very smoothly changes gear and pulls again in the next higher gear. I have raised the rev limit to go higher than stock, and also ensure the gear shift is flawless. No Check Engine light for this ride. In certain models, we'll advise the cel light will be on, but most of the cars we do, the CEL light will not be "on", otherwise, the car will feel like shit.

I heard from the owner that alot of stream RSZ with turbo kit have lots of problems like stalling and stuff... I was very very tempted to go and grab one of this kit from the forum and fit into to my future honda stream hahahaha...

I'm not the only one who admires this kit, a friend of ours who used to drive skyline also shares the same feeling!

Seriously, performance wise, 200 bhp is a minimum and with a smooth CVT tranny and excellent seating space and solid sound proofing, this car is a steal at 70k a piece. Of course, with the turbo kit la !!

Can't imagine la,... owner last time came to sell off his turbo kit... basket. If I early early know hor... just anyhow tune... then sup his turbo kit at a bargain price,.. sui!! just kidding la hahaha!! Sam also thinking of getting this setup too... hahahaha...

Anyway... This ride rocks !! Oh,... i only fine tuned the idling part and also 1000 rpm crusing... now, you can go up AMK autopoint slope at 1000 rpm ! Nice la!
