Turbo Charged Toyota Yaris

Dyno Chart

Many have been said about the 1NZFE engine used by toyota yaris and vios. We have yet to see a properly setup and tuned turbo charged Yaris and today, after 5 days of hardwork, we pulled the car from road tuning onto the dyno machine.

Putting in a custom turbo kit made of materials like 304 stainless steel pipings, Samco hoses and silicon tubings was not just for the looks but also for performance. All hardware including high flow injectors are controlled by Greddy Emanage and carefully tuned to bring out the maximum possible performance safely.

Tuning also ensure the VVTI is maximised and pulling every single ounce of horse power possible on the 1NZFE engine.

Fuel consumption is also made such that the day-to-day sane driving is not affected. This can only be done by careful selection of turbo and in-depth understanding of the Toyota VVTi engineering. We also ensured that the car remain stealth in looks and sound. This is solely for the purpose of setting up a sleeper car that packs a whopping 186bhp on crank! This is coupled with a 0.8 bars of boost at 6000 rpm. Engine parameters are well within limits and we decided to cap it at 0.8 bars of boost even though we know it is well capable of a higher boost given the runs we have been pulling.

All said, this car was doing road tunes prior to the dyno, I had a hard time trying to catch some sleep the night before and was checking my tuning maps just to be sure I didnt miss anything. Finally, a pat on the back, hand shaking and some fine tuning to increase the torque at 2500~3000 rpm, we're done for the day.

Kudos to the 1NZFE toyota engine!
