Mazda RX7 Efini

Mazda RX7 Efini

Running this ride on a T04-E turbo, upgraded intercooler and Microtech LT8 standalone ECU, at low boost of 0.75 bars, this ride is already making enough horses to make you smile. What we need now is to fix up his faulty radiator and we'll be boosting 1.5 bars and hope to hit a mininum of 500 bhp on the dyno.

Till then, its running 0.75 bars of boost on this excellent glamourous ride.

In 1992, Mazda released the third generation of the RX-7 as a 1993 model. This model came only as a twin-sequential-turbocharged rotary engine, the 13B-REW (standing for 13B, Rotary Engine Twin Turbo. Apparently, W is often used as shorthand for 'double' in Japanese). This engine was rated at 255 bhp peak output and was redlined at 8000 RPM, creating a performance car which has very few compromises. Interior room and practicality were characteristics not very high on the third generation design team's priority list. I think the seats behind are meant only for putting your wallet. Excellence in handling, acceleration.

The results are phenomenal.

Verdict :
Uncompromised by the need to be anything other than a supreme sports car.

cons:
Expensive for the average joe to maintain.
